@FortMinorsBiggestFan I believe the main reason for the cost difference is a strong Euro and labor costs. BTW I am an auto enthusiast I dont care what country or company a car comes from, but I do know that this how the game changes...competition. Current leaders (and their fans) should not try to rest on history/

@376OG i really doubt that. The bmw is made from way better material and the cadillac is half plastic. There is a reason why its more expensive you know.

@FortMinorsBiggestFan I sure they have equal amounts of plastic, and the Caddilac is heavier.

cadillac are made from plastic lol.

This review is retarded. Domestic cars are always cheaper. Try moving to Norway and buying a CTS-V there. Germans aren't going to start buying CTS-Vs cause it's slightly faster in a straight line. The CTS-V is just the product of an insecure company trying to one-up the competition. Making a car that's actually HEAVIER and uses MORE GAS than an M5 is not an accomplishment. It's pathetic.
theworldsransoming (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
@cowabunga79 It's like Cadillac purposely set out to make a car that was JUST SLIGHTLY faster than the M5, ignoring all the small details.

Cadillacs are badly built. He may win in a drag race, but in a track, the BMW wins by miles!!! Cadillac can not be compared to BMW in terms of engineering.

20 years later and an M5 can just keep up in the quarter mile with GMC's typhoon a V6 truck HA HA HA

6.2 supercharged engine producing only 550bhp, doing only 14mpg and having a 6-speed gearbox to put all that power down on the road? no wonder is so much cheaper, cadillac clearly cut their costs and save a lot of money in the engineering department. in europe, it would be unthinkable to release such a travesty upon a car-loving communtiy. |
